2015 Winners

Congratulations to winners of the 2015 Better Practice Awards from the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency

The winners of the 2015 Better Practice Awards were announced at Better Practice Brisbane conference on Thursday, 12 November.

The 31 Award winners were announced by Quality Agency CEO Nick Ryan, at the opening of the two-day conference on Thursday, 12 November.

The winning programs range from an early intervention working party to quickly identify and treat decline in health; a conversation club to enhance the work of a speech pathologist; an exercise program to prevent manual handling injuries; technology to connect rural and remote consumers with medical services; and a program that helped a male resident of an aged care home fulfill his dream of living as a woman.

Quality Agency CEO Nick Ryan congratulated the winners of this year’s Better Practice Awards.

“This is our way of recognising and showcasing aged care providers that go above and beyond for the benefit of their consumers. All of the award winning programs are consumer focused, committed to understanding their consumers’ needs and using research and evidence to develop and maintain a program that gets results.
