    Managing accreditation performance

    Overview

    This workshop is specifically targeted at those with leadership responsibility for managing continuous improvement and quality within a residential aged care organisation.

    The aim of this workshop is to build on your existing knowledge and skills of the Accreditation Standards, Quality Agency and continuous improvement processes to achieve consistency and improved accreditation performance within your organisation.

    In this workshop participants will be presented with challenging content and scenarios designed to enhance your skills to critically assess service delivery, manage systems and risk, undertake continuous improvement, use quality tools, analyse data effectively.

    It assumes prior knowledge and experience and is not suitable for those who have limited understanding of the Accreditation standards and process as outlined above.  We would recommend the Understanding Accreditation 2 day course for those new to Accreditation.

    Learning objectives

    Through active participation you will be able to:

    • Effectively use systems, data and information to identify and demonstrate ongoing performance and continuous improvement against the Accreditations Standards.
    • Review common risk creators and use tools to analyse and manage risk while supporting and respecting consumer choice and decision making.
    • Identify and analyse a range of quality tools and resources to identify opportunities and plan for improvement in performance.
    • Lead, support and encourage staff, consumers and representatives to participate in quality activities and service innovation every day.

    • Care/unit/facility managers
    • Service managers
    • Registered nurses
    • Quality managers and coordinators
    • Educators and trainers
    • Supervisors

    Registration is $352 (incl GST) per person or $334.50 (incl GST) per person for five or more registrations from the same organization.

    Organisation - direct training

    The organisation direct EOI is now open for July to March 2019. Please note: if your service is approaching re-accreditation or quality review this year or in the first six months of 2019 your service will be assessed against the current applicable standards.

    If you wish to book in house courses/workshop within this time period please click on the link below and complete the expression of interest form.

    Costs for the two day face to face courses is - $5,280 (incl GST) for up to 16 participants, additional travel and accommodation charges will apply for courses held outside the metro area.
