Provider update

More tools for approved providers

Our information for providers now contains tools for Home care and National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care Program.

Self assessment tools are available on the provider home page. You'll also find a handy information sheet for home care providers on the provider home page.

Continuous improvement is an important aspect for approved providers and we've updated this page for Home care providers, National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care Program providers and Residential aged care providers.

Industry education needs analysis: Survey will remain open until Tuesday 2 December

As part of our commitment to ensuring our education products, events and resources meet the needs of both residential and home care, we are undertaking research into your educational needs.

The aim of this is to identify your needs and preferences and use this to inform our education product development over the next two years.

Our online survey will be open until Tuesday 2 December. Here’s a link to the online survey.

Please take the time to fill out the survey – we value your feedback and views and it is important that we get as much feedback as possible to ensure our education products provide you, and ultimately your care recipients, with the best benefits.

For Providers

The accreditation processes are set out in the Quality Agency Principles. The Accreditation Standards are unchanged.

For the Public

Residents are at the heart of our work. Our assessors speak to around 50,000 residents each year about the quality of care they receive, and every aged care home gets at least one unannounced visit each year.

Education Programs

We offer a strong and evidence-based industry education program to help aged care providers improve their performance and deliver better services for Australians in their care. This is how we help drive quality.
